The Role
 
The appointee will provide administrative and secretarial support for the University’s examinations, committees, central timetabling, room allocation, and external examiners system. The role will also involve assisting in the development and implementation of IT systems and automation projects, as well as performing any other duties as assigned by supervisors. 
 
Qualifications and Qualities
 
Applicants should possess a good Bachelor’s degree, preferably a Master’s degree, with at least 8 years of supervisory-level work experience, preferably in the tertiary education sector. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua), as well as strong organisational, multi-tasking, problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills. A high sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and strong work ethics are essential. They should also be able to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Proficiency in IT applications is required, and familiarity with artificial intelligence tools or AI literacy will be considered a definite asset. 
 
What We Offer
 
The appointment will be made on a full-time fixed-term contract for two years, to commence as soon as possible, with the possibility of renewal. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary for Administrative Assistant I and 10% of basic salary for Administrative Assistant II. Other benefits include annual leave and medical benefits. Applicants with less experience may be considered for appointment as Administrative Assistant II.
