Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Geography
Applications are invited for appointment as a Post-doctoral Fellow in Sustainable Development and Climate Change Economics to commence as soon as possible for a period of 2 to 3 years.
The Role The appointee will work on research projects focusing on environmental footprint analysis, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the economic impacts of climate change. They will be responsible for:
- Analyzing the interlinkages, synergies, and trade-offs among various SDGs at global, national, or regional scales;
- Developing frameworks or indicator systems to evaluate progress toward SDGs under different climate and policy scenarios;
- Conducting quantitative research on environmental footprints using advanced modeling techniques;
- Assisting the PI in data collection, project management, and grant applications.
Requirements Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Sustainable Development, Geography, Environmental Science, Economics, or a related discipline. They should have a strong quantitative background and experience in environmental-economic modeling, statistical analysis, or related data-driven research methodologies. Previous experience in sustainability assessment or climate policy analysis is highly preferred.
