Senior Executive Assistant/Executive Assistant (at the rank of Clerk I/II) in the Department of Microbiology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 536444) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis or one-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree, preferably with at least 3 years’ relevant work experience in tertiary institutions. Non-degree holders with substantial relevant work experience will also be considered. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); a strong sense of responsibility; and the ability to work independently and under pressure to meet tight deadlines, and to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently. They should also be attentive to details and self-motivated. Proficiency in PC and application software (including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) would be essential. Those with lower qualifications and/or less experience will be considered for appointment as Executive Assistant (at the rank of Clerk II).
The appointee will provide administrative support for the launch and implementation of new taught postgraduate (TPg) programmes. Responsibilities include liaising with internal and external stakeholders; supporting programme documentation and accreditation processes; assisting with admissions and student-related administration; and promoting the programmes. He/She may also be required to assist with general office administration, undertake specific or general clerical tasks, and perform other duties as assigned.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.

The appointment on fixed-term basis will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
