Research Assistant I/II in the Hong Kong Jockey Club Centre for Suicide Research and Prevention within the Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref.: 536505), to commence as soon as possible for six months, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and mutual agreement.

 

We now invite applications for the captioned post. The appointee will be provided with opportunities to work with researchers on project(s) related to the programme evaluation of community-based mental health projects.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct literature reviews, data collection and analysis
  • Prepare presentations and draft reports
  • Assist in project coordination and logistical arrangements
  • Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned

 

Requirements

  • Up to two years of relevant work experience; fresh graduates are welcome to apply
  • A good Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in social sciences, psychology, public policy and administration, statistics, or related disciplines
  • Ability to work under tight schedules and meet project deadlines
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Mandarin)
  • Knowledge of cost-effectiveness analysis (e.g., QALY) will be an advantage
