Applications are invited for appointment as a Post-doctoral Fellow in the Division of Applied Oral Sciences & Community Dental Care of the Faculty of Dentistry (Ref.: 536839) for two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Tissue Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biochemistry, Biomaterials, Molecular Biology, Stem Cell Biology, or a related field. They should demonstrate outstanding experimental, writing, and communication skills. They must demonstrate a strong command of written and spoken English, high levels of self-motivation, innovation, and the ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team environment. Preference will be given to candidates with research experience in Metal Organic Frameworks, Bio-Polymer Synthesis, and/or Biomaterial Development. The project will require interdisciplinary collaboration between dentistry and chemistry.

The appointee will be involved in a research project focused on developing, characterizing, and assessing the biological properties of a biomaterial for dental tissue regeneration. Enquiries about the post should be sent to Professor Waruna Dissanayaka at warunad@hku.hk.
