Manager (at the rank of Administrative Assistant II) in the Faculty of Engineering (Ref.: 536908) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance).

Applicants should have a good Bachelor’s degree with at least 6 years’ full-time work experience in communications, public relations, or a related field, and at least 2 years’ experience at supervisory level in higher education or a related sector. They should have an excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua); outstanding organisational, communication, project management and problem-solving skills; a high level of computer literacy; and the ability to multitask under pressure, as well as to work well both independently and in a team. They should be able to work with people from a broad range of backgrounds internally and externally. Experience in alumni engagement/ stakeholder management and/or social media platforms management will be a distinct advantage.

The appointee is responsible for a wide range of administrative duties, with a focus on development and networking, publicity, event management, fund raising, alumni relationship, knowledge exchange, and any other duties as assigned.  He/She is also required to liaise with internal and external stakeholders, assist in the development and implementation of strategic plan and policies, and to serve Faculty committees.  The appointee may be required to work outside normal office hours and on weekends.  Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
