Administrative Assistant II/Executive Officer in the Faculty of Arts (Ref.: 536935) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)
The Faculty of Arts is seeking an innovative, dynamic and organised individual to join us as a TPg team leader. Applicants should possess a good Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years’ full-time work experience, preferably in a tertiary education institution. Experience in undergraduate or taught postgraduate programme development and/or administration would be an advantage. The ideal candidate should have an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua), as well as strong communication and presentation skills. They should be good team players with proven ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and be attentive to details. They should also be able to work independently and under pressure to meet tight deadlines. And they should have excellent organizational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills; and good IT proficiency. The successful candidate should be collegial, capable of managing tight deadlines, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Those with lower qualifications and/or less experience may be considered for the post of Executive Officer.
The appointee will join the Faculty Office to provide executive support to the Faculty and the Taught Postgraduate programmes in the planning, development and execution of new curricula, management of curriculum review processes and reporting, and through service on committees and working groups, and performing other duties as assigned. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
