Administrative Assistant II (holding the functional title of Manager) in the School of Nursing (Ref.: 536961) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two- to three-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years’ supervisory work experience, preferably in the higher education sector or a public/quasi-public organization. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); strong organizational, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills; the ability to work independently with initiative, as well as in a team; and proficiency in computer literacy. They should be attentive to details with a good sense of tact in handling sensitive and confidential information, and able to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
The appointee will play a key role in leading junior executive and clerical staff to provide comprehensive administrative support to the School in the areas of human resources and general administration; ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures of the University; liaising with internal stakeholders, including the faculty office and administrative offices, to facilitate smooth workflow and effective communication; maintaining accurate records and documentation to support relevant operations; and performing other duties as assigned.
