Clerical Assistant in the Division of Applied Oral Sciences & Community Dental Care of the Faculty of Dentistry (Ref: 537016)
We are looking for a Clerical Assistant to join the Division of Applied Oral Sciences & Community Dental Care of the Faculty of Dentistry.
The Role
The appointee will report to the Executive Officer and provide a wide range of clerical and administrative support for the Division’s teaching, research and office activities. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Filing documents and maintaining systematic filing systems;
- Performing data entry and data verification with a high level of confidentiality;
- Assisting with logistics arrangements for the Division’s meetings, seminars, workshops and other activities;
- Assisting with procurement, purchasing, financial and general office administrative activities, including processing invoices and reimbursement claims, keeping proper documentation, maintaining office supplies and inventory and supporting office operations;
- Supporting student administration; and
- Performing other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications and Qualities
- 5 passes in HKCEE including English Language and Chinese Language, or equivalent; OR Level 2 or above in 5 subjects in HKDSEE including English Language and Chinese Language, or equivalent;
- A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
- Good communication and interpersonal skills;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint); and
- A strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Having relevant clerical or administrative experience in tertiary institutions will be an advantage.
What We Offer
The appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years, to commence as soon as possible, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary.
