Research Assistant II in the Department of Ophthalmology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 537031) (to commence as soon as possible, on a one-year temporary basis with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in statistics, data science, computer science, biomedical sciences, healthcare or a related discipline. They should have experience or relevant training in statistical analysis using R and/or Python. Experience in clinical research, data management, artificial intelligence, medical image analysis, ocular imaging or optical coherence tomography would be advantageous.
Applicants should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, including fluent Cantonese. They should also possess a strong sense of responsibility, good interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
The appointee will be involved in research projects related to artificial intelligence, ocular imaging and clinical research in glaucoma. Duties will include statistical analysis, data cleaning and management, literature review, preparation of research reports and manuscripts, and assistance with clinical study coordination and documentation. Training will be provided where appropriate.
