Secretary I/II in the Faculty of Law (Ref: 537034) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a good Bachelor’s degree, with at least 2 years’ relevant work experience; OR have 5 passes in HKCEE including English (min. Grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007), Chinese (Level 2 from 2007) and Mathematics; OR min. Level 2 or equivalent in 5 subjects in HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics, with at least 5 years’ work experience. Preference will be given to those with work experience in local tertiary institutions. They should be self-motivated, attentive to details, able to work independently, and have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, knowledge of PC and software applications, and good organizational and communication skills. Those with less experience and/or lower qualification may be appointed as Secretary II.
The appointee will assist in financial and human resources planning including budgeting and reporting on costs; provide secretarial support including book-keeping and administering staffs’ research accounts, appointment and personnel matters, examinations coordination and logistic arrangement, organizing functions and events, preparing minutes; and in all aspects of administration and operations for the PCLL programmes; and perform any other duties as assigned. He/She may be required to work in the evenings on weekdays and on Saturdays. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
