Senior Technical Officer / Technical Officer in the School of Innovation (Ref.:537165) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal).

Applicants for the Senior Technical Officer position should possess a relevant higher diploma or bachelor’s degree, preferably with at least three years of relevant work experience. They should have extensive technical experience in at least two of the following areas: robotics; electronics; embedded systems programming in C or Python; and 3D modeling software, such as Fusion 360. Strong hands-on experience in developing rapid mechatronic prototypes is essential. Applicants should also have experience in operating and maintaining prototyping tools, including 3D printers, laser cutters, and basic electronic equipment. They should be self-motivated, able to work independently, and have a good command of written and spoken Chinese and English.  Candidates with less experience may be considered for appointment as Technical Officer.  Fresh graduates may also be considered.

The appointee will be responsible for maintaining the School’s prototyping workshop; supporting teaching, research, and prototyping activities for project-based courses; conducting workshops; assisting students in developing innovative projects; and providing technical support for the School’s daily operations.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview and/or a written test.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
