Research Assistant I/II in the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism of the Department of Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.:537168)

We now invite applications for the captioned post. This post will provide an excellent opportunity to develop a research career involving advanced research in endocrinology and metabolism, on-the-job trainings will also be provided.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Facilitate clinical research in the laboratory
  • Handle various clinical specimens, coordinate biobank storages, and manage clinical database
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree or above in Biomedical Sciences, Biology, Biochemistry, Public Health, Biostatistics or related disciplines
  • A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; ability to understand or communicate in Cantonese will be an advantage
  • Familiar with MS Office application (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Good organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attentive to details, with a strong sense of responsibility, and self-motivated
  • Able to work independently, and can contribute to a supportive team culture when working in a team environment
  • Interest in pursuing postgraduate study (M.Phil. or Ph.D.) and/or with basic knowledge of biostatistics would be advantageous 
  • Those with lower qualifications or less experience may be considered for appointment as Research Assistant II, fresh graduates are welcome

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a 1-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
