Research Assistant I/II in the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism of the Department of Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.:537168)
We now invite applications for the captioned post. This post will provide an excellent opportunity to develop a research career involving advanced research in endocrinology and metabolism, on-the-job trainings will also be provided.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Facilitate clinical research in the laboratory
- Handle various clinical specimens, coordinate biobank storages, and manage clinical database
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree or above in Biomedical Sciences, Biology, Biochemistry, Public Health, Biostatistics or related disciplines
- A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; ability to understand or communicate in Cantonese will be an advantage
- Familiar with MS Office application (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Good organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Attentive to details, with a strong sense of responsibility, and self-motivated
- Able to work independently, and can contribute to a supportive team culture when working in a team environment
- Interest in pursuing postgraduate study (M.Phil. or Ph.D.) and/or with basic knowledge of biostatistics would be advantageous
- Those with lower qualifications or less experience may be considered for appointment as Research Assistant II, fresh graduates are welcome

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a 1-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
