Applications are invited for appointment as full-time Principal Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Clinical Psychology in the Department of Psychology (Ref.: 537171), to commence as soon as possible, on a three-year fixed-term contract, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a postgraduate professional qualification in Clinical Psychology.  Familiarity with local clinical psychology settings  and experience in clinical teaching and supervision in clinical child psychology are required.  Fluency in Cantonese will be an advantage.

Applicants for  appointment as Principal Lecturer should possess a PhD degree or professional doctorate in Clinical Psychology, with at least 10 years’ professional experience in the practice of clinical psychology, as well as clear and strong  evidence of teaching ability in clinical psychology.

Applicants for appointment as Senior Lecturer should possess a Master’s and/or a doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology, with at least 8 years’ professional experience in the practice of clinical psychology, as well as sound indicators of teaching ability in clinical psychology.

The appointee is expected to teach and supervise postgraduate students and to contribute to the administration and development of the postgraduate programmes in Clinical Psychology.  Enquiries about the post may be directed to the Chair of the Search Committee at hrpsyc@hku.hk. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.  The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.  Housing benefits will be provided as applicable.
