Senior Clerk/Clerk I (holding the functional title of Senior Executive Assistant) in the Division of Public Health Laboratory Sciences, School of Public Health (Ref.: 537287), to commence as soon as possible, on a one-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
Applicants should possess a good university degree with at least 1 year of relevant work experience, preferably in the higher education sector. They should have knowledge of and experience in project management, office administration, financial management, human resource management, and external communications. Proficiency in English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Mandarin) is required. Applicants should also possess strong organizational, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills, and demonstrate a high level of proficiency in computer applications and document processing. They should be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, manage multiple tasks, and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
The appointee will provide research management and administrative support to Principal Investigators and contribute to the R&D initiative and implementation of the research team. Duties include liaising with a wide range of stakeholders and collaborators across finance, HR, PR, research, educational, corporate and government sectors; monitoring project progress and preparing reports; managing financial and HR matters; facilitating regulatory approvals; drafting and negotiating agreements; preparing patent-related documentation; coordinating events and meetings; and performing other duties as assigned.
