Hall Executive (at the rank of Clerk II) in the Centre of Development and Resources for Students (CEDARS) (Ref: 537441), to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal.

The Role

  • Assist with the administration and operations of a cluster of residences, responsible for general office administration.
  • Handle inquiries and student matters in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate residence meetings, events and service projects.
  • Maintain inventory of office supplies, handle procurement, and ensure stock availability.
  • Record income and expenses, process invoices and payments, and assist with various financial tasks.
  • Offer support to student residents by addressing their inquiries and concerns.
  • Coordinate residents’ move in, move out and room relocation.
  • The Dean of Student Affairs holds the authority to deploy the appointee to various clusters of student residences based on operational needs during the appointment period.

Qualifications and Qualities

  • Preferably with a recognized University degree. At least Form 5 or above, with 5 passes in HKCEE including English (min. Grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007), Chinese (Level 2 from 2007) and Mathematics; OR a min. Level 2 or equivalent in 5 subjects in HKDSEE, including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics.
  • With 2-3 years of relevant work experience.
  • A good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
  • Good organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Attention to detail and a good team player.
  • Genuine interest in student welfare and student development.
  • Proficiency in PC applications such as MS Office Suite, knowledge of Adobe Photoshop or Canva, would be an advantage.

What We Offer

The appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years, to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.  A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary.  Other benefits include annual leave and medical benefits.
