The School of Biomedical Engineering (SBME) is a newly established school at HKU which brings together talents from the Faculties of Engineering, Medicine, Science and Dentistry to train the next generation of biomedical engineers. We are seeking an experienced administrator to help build and run the School's academic programmes during this formative period. Information about the School can be obtained at https://sbme.hku.hk/.
Applicants should possess a good university degree and preferably have at least 5 years’ work experience in the higher education sector or a related field. They should be excellent communicators with a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to motivate team members to deliver quality work under tight deadlines, as well as to lead and inspire a team. They should have an excellent command of English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Putonghua); a high level of interpersonal, organisational, time management and problem-solving skills; and an appropriate level of IT knowledge are essential. Experience in programme management, marketing, social media, and event coordination would be desirable.
The appointee will provide administrative support in undergraduate programme, including admissions, registration, timetabling, assessment, student affairs, curriculum revisions, quality assurance and enhancement, and committee support. He/ She will also support postgraduate programmes, student recruitment, outreach events and other School initiatives. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview and/or written test.
