Research Assistant II in the Division of Applied Oral Sciences & Community Dental Care (Ref.: 537512)

Applications are invited for appointment as Research Assistant II in the Division of Applied Oral Sciences & Community Dental Care of the Faculty of Dentistry, to commence as soon as possible on a one-year temporary contract, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Applicants should hold a bachelor's degree or above, preferably in Microbiology, Biological Science, or related disciplines. Candidates should possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese. An interest in collaborating closely with biologists and the ability to work independently with high motivation are also important. Candidates with experience in animal work are preferred and those who are interested in pursuing postgraduate studies are encouraged to apply.

The appointee will conduct research on cell culture, protein expression, and animal and antibacterial experiments in a biosafety level 2 laboratory under the supervision of Professor Peng Gao. For enquiries regarding the position, please contact Professor Peng Gao at gaopeng@hku.hk.
