Assistant Manager (at the rank of Executive Officer) in the Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref: 537527) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance).
Applicants should possess a good Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Education, Marketing, or a related field, with at least 2 to 4 years of full-time work experience in tertiary education institutions. Experience in in student recruitment or academic programme marketing would be an advantage. They should be competent communicators with an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua). They should possess strong interpersonal, organisational, communication and problem-solving skills, and be attentive to details. They should also be able to work independently and as part of a team, multi-tasking under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
The appointee will be a key team member of the Faculty’s Admission and Outreach team, supporting the strategic planning, implementation and evaluation of student outreach, marketing, and recruitment initiatives. He/She will play an operational and administrative role in coordinating school visits, information days, outreach campaigns, ambassador schemes, admission events, and school or career fairs. He/She will also handle enquiries from prospective students, serve as a key contact point for prospective applicants, school counsellors, and internal stakeholders, and prepare promotional materials and content for websites, social media, and brochures.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to represent the Faculty at various local and international educational events. He/She will be required to travel occasionally and may need to work outside normal office hours to support outreach activities.
