Research Assistant I/II (2 posts) in the Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacy, LKS Faculty of Medicine (Ref.: 537548)

Duties and Responsibilities

  • conduct literature reviews and evidence synthesis
  • assist in healthcare database management, data cleaning and preparation
  • support statistical analyses using large electronic health record databases
  • prepare reports, manuscripts and conference materials
  • coordinate research activities and perform other duties as assigned

 

Requirements

  • a Bachelor's degree or above in pharmacy, epidemiology, public health, statistics, biostatistics, data science, Chinese medicine, biomedical sciences, medicine, or related disciplines
  • a strong sense of responsibility
  • good organizational skills
  • an excellent command of written and spoken English
  • attentive to details
  • independent research skills and capability
  • experience in statistical software (e.g. R, Stata, SAS, Python or SPSS), healthcare database research, systematic reviews, manuscript preparation or project coordination is preferred, but not essential

The appointments will commence as soon as possible on a 1-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
