Research Assistant I/II in the School of Nursing (Ref.: 537554) (to commence as soon as possible for 12 months, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)
Applicants should preferably possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in nursing, psychology, public health, social sciences, statistics, data science, or other healthcare- or research-related disciplines. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Putonghua), as well as good interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. They should be responsible, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary research team.
Relevant experience in maternal and child health, sleep research, longitudinal or cohort studies, participant recruitment and follow-up, behavioral or video-based research, wearable or digital health technologies, and/or quantitative data analysis would be an advantage. Proficiency in statistical software or programming languages such as R, Python, SPSS, or Stata would also be desirable. Those with less experience or lower qualifications may be considered for the post of Research Assistant II.
The appointee will work under the supervision of Dr. Ying Dai on research projects in maternal and child sleep health supported by funding schemes including the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the Research Grants Council General Research Fund (GRF), and other local and institutional funding schemes. Duties include participant recruitment and follow-up, data and sample collection, data management and analysis, behavioral/video coding, literature review, preparation of reports and manuscripts, coordination with research partners, and other research-related tasks as assigned.
