Research Assistant I/II in the Division of Public Health Laboratory Sciences, School of Public Health (Ref.: 537630) (to commence as soon as possible on a one-year temporary term contract, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related discipline. Experience in handling microbial pathogens in BSL2 laboratories would be an advantage. Applicants should be highly motivated and demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility, excellent teamwork skills, and a commitment to scientific research.

The appointee will undertake both laboratory- and field-based work related to the study of influenza and other respiratory viruses. Enquiries about the duties of the post should be sent to Ms. Amen Yiu at amenyiu@hku.hk.
