Project Coordinator

At Brotherhood of St. Laurence (BSL), we are seeking a highly organised Project Coordinator to join our dedicated Strategic Project Management Office team.

Location: Fitzroy

Job Type: Part-time, working 30 hours per week

Salary: $ 90,962.92- 97,875.15 per annum, based on skills and experience plus 12% superannuation (pro-rata for part-time employment).

About the role

The Project Coordinator provides Secretariat support for the organisation-wide project governance forum, tracks project performance and assists with organisational prioritisation and sequencing efforts. This role also contributes to project planning and assists with the development and production of just-in-time training materials.

The role's core duties include:

  • Providing efficient and effective Secretariat support for an organisation-wide forum to monitor, measure and manage the delivery of major and minor projects linked to BSL strategic goals and financial objectives.
  • Assisting with the maintenance of processes to measure project performance and with organisational prioritisation and sequencing efforts. 
  • Developing and maintaining a catalogue of just-in-time project management training which can be accessed from the BSL intranet by relevant clients.
  • Supporting the Head of Strategic Project Management Office in relation to annual organisational planning and prioritisation processes.

To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who has the following key skills, experiences and qualities:

  • Experience in project management, especially larger projects within multifunctional organisations.
  • A track record of implementing, maintaining and continuously improving project management processes within organisations.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, and digital marketing tools and CRMs.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects with competing deadlines.
  • Excellent inter-personal skills.
