About the role

We are excited to welcome a motivated Assistant Program Lead to our Banksia Carrum Downs team. In this role, you will work closely with the Program Lead to support the smooth, day-to-day running of the centre and contribute to the various programs. You will play a key role in fostering a positive team culture, supporting effective workforce planning, and driving continuous improvement to ensure services meet organisational and regulatory requirements.

Salary: $90,962.92 - $97,875.15 per annum, based on skills and experience plus 12% superannuation (pro-rata for part-time employment)

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of a consumer-driven approach to program delivery, ensuring services respond to the evolving needs of participants and stakeholders
  • Contribute to embedding evidence-based practice across service delivery, supporting a dementia-friendly environment and the Wellness & Reablement approach
  • Support the coordination of services for participants with complex care needs, ensuring appropriate care planning and service delivery
  • Assist in maintaining records, reporting, and documentation to meet business, funding, and audit requirements
  • Provide day-to-day guidance, and support to staff, supporting a positive team culture and high-performance environment
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, supporting compliance with State and Federal contractual, regulatory, and legislative requirements

What we are looking for

We are seeking a motivated and experienced assistant program lead who is passionate about driving continuous improvements and supporting BSL’s mission.

Key skills and experience

  • Relevant qualifications in a related field such as community development, allied health or other relevant discipline
  • Demonstrated understanding of evidence-based practice in supporting disadvantaged people, including those living with dementia
  • Experience working within community care or a similar health or human services setting, with exposure to service delivery operations
  • Experience supporting financial processes such as budget monitoring, resource allocation, or cost awareness in a program or team environment
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence positively, and support conflict resolution
  • Understanding of and empathy with the values and ideals of the Brotherhood of St Laurence
