With over 140 industry partnerships and 80,000 customers nationally, we are uniquely positioned to offer insurance our customers can depend on.
The role:
As part of our Short Tail Claims team, you’ll report directly to the Head of Short Tail Claims and lead a team of six highly skilled technical claims specialists. Together, you’ll deliver best-practice claims management and exceptional customer service across our landlord, technical and broker claims portfolio.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with deep expertise in commercial/property claims who’s ready to step into a leadership role—or for an established leader looking to make a meaningful impact.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of technical claims professionals
- Drive operational excellence by managing KPIs, workflow, and quality outcomes
- Champion our Claims People Value Proposition, fostering engagement and a strong team culture
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance to identify and address training needs across technical, systems, product, and soft skills
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and proactively manage risk and issue resolution
- Build strong stakeholder relationships and contribute to supplier performance and cross-functional collaboration
What we are looking for:
- Proven leadership capability or a strong desire to step into a leadership role, with a passion for developing others
- Extensive experience in general insurance claims—particularly commercial property—with a solid grasp of industry best practices and regulatory frameworks
- A confident communicator who can influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
- A strategic thinker who thrives on solving problems and driving continuous improvement
- A collaborative and inspiring team player who leads with empathy and purpose
- A customer-first mindset with a commitment to delivering outstanding service and support
What we offer?
- Hybrid working arrangement (2 days in office and 3 days from home)
- A role that will provide you depth and breadth of experience you just can’t get in bigger organisations. You’ll be highly visible and so will the work you do as a leader
- Participation in our annual short term incentive program
- Staff discounts and offers with leading retailers and an innovative Employee Assistance Programme
- Wellbeing initiatives, learning opportunities and purpose led businesses
