Why this role matters

As Head of Acerta, you will lead the next chapter of a specialist insurance business with a clear growth agenda, a strong broker proposition and an important role in Guild Insurance’s broader commercial strategy.

• Lead Acerta’s national business across growth, profitability, service and operational performance
• Strengthen broker partnerships and expand Acerta’s presence in the Australian intermediated market
• Work closely with underwriting, claims, product, distribution and operational teams to deliver aligned commercial and customer outcomes
• Build a high-performing culture where people are empowered, accountable and supported to do their best work
• Identify growth opportunities, manage risk and maintain disciplined portfolio performance, governance and compliance standards

What you will bring

You are a commercially sharp insurance leader who understands how broker markets work, brings a strong presence and network in this space and knows how to turn strategy into action.

• Senior leadership experience in insurance, underwriting or broker distribution
• Strong understanding of commercial insurance, broker relationships, intermediated distribution and portfolio performance
• A track record of delivering profitable growth and improving business performance
• Confidence leading teams through growth, change, operational improvement and continuous improvement
• Strong commercial judgement, stakeholder influence, risk awareness and relationship-building capability
• A practical, hands-on leadership style with the confidence to make decisions and bring people with you
• Relevant tertiary qualifications and ANZIIF accreditation, or equivalent industry experience, will be highly regarded
