About the Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Health & Insurance Graduate or 1st year Solicitor to join the insurance practice in our Brisbane office. You will assist in the defence of medical negligence claims, disciplinary proceedings and inquiries brought against medical practitioners and health facilities. 

You will also have the opportunity to act in the defence of personal injury claims in a range of industry sectors.  The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical and written advocacy skills.  You will work closely with a well-regarded Principal who has been recognised as a leading lawyer in the Health, Medical Negligence and insurance jurisdictions. 

To be considered for this opportunity, you will have:

• Outstanding technical skills including strong academic performance;
• Superior communication skills and personal drive;
• Ability to work to tight deadlines;
• A sharp eye for details;
• Ability to apply compassion and empathy to clients.

Prior health law and defendant insurance will be considered favourably, however candidates possessing outstanding technical skills and a preparedness to proactively develop an understanding of the health law framework are encouraged to apply.  Written applications should include a cover letter, curriculum vitae and academic transcript showing subject results and course GPA.
