About the team and role

As a Senior Associate in our Professional and Financial Risks (Litigation) team, you will work on a strong mix of insurance law and litigation matters, with a focus on public and product liability insurance and professional indemnity. You will work across different industry sectors, with a particular focus on the strata, sports, leisure and construction industries sectors.

You will partner with experienced colleagues and contribute to outcomes that matter to clients. You will be trusted to make a meaningful contribution, supported in your development and given the scope to deepen your expertise over time.

About you

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need:

  • Minimum 4 years PQE in a Litigation based role in private practice or in-house, and with proven experience in various areas of public and product liability insurance and professional indemnity
  • Genuine interest in the strata, sports, leisure and construction industries sectors
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • The ability to work well under pressure
  • Positive, “can do” attitude and willingness to be a key member of a busy, tight knit team
  • A sharp eye for detail and strong writing skills
  • A great work ethic and be keen to learn and develop your career.

Skills & Abilities

  • Demonstrates an understanding of the legal issues relevant to the practice of insurance law and a demonstrated ability to understand and respond to the commercial objectives of clients.
  • This role requires an eye for technical detail but also the ability to provide legal advice in a commercial context. The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate clearly with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and communicate effectively at all levels of seniority.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to deal confidently with clients directly and foster client relationships.
  • Time management skills and proven ability to prioritise multiple active matters at any one time.
  • Capacity to problem solve and think laterally
