About the Role and the Team

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Law Graduate to join our high-performing Insurance Litigation team in our Perth office. Ideally, you will be a recent law graduate with a strong interest in insurance litigation and health law.

This role will see you working on a wide variety of professional indemnity and health law matters (including medical negligence claims and disciplinary proceedings) within a highly collaborative and supportive team. In return, the role will provide the successful candidate with a unique opportunity to work alongside two of our highly regarded Principals, whilst receiving mentorship to support their career advancement based on proven performance.

You’ll join a close-knit, high-performing and dynamic team known for its collaborative approach, strong technical capability and commitment to excellence.

About you

We are interested in candidates who have maintained high academic performance throughout their studies and are motivated to gain expertise and insight into Insurance law. Ideally, you will have:

  • A genuine interest in insurance litigation and health law
  • Maintained high academic performance throughout your studies
  • Ability to work fast and meticulously with high attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a strong sense of initiative and autonomy
  • A great work ethic and be keen to learn and develop your career
  • The ability to prioritise tasks with ease
  • A positive “can do” attitude and willingness to be a key member of a tight knit team

Prior litigation and defendant insurance experience will be considered favourably, however candidates possessing outstanding technical skills and a preparedness to proactively develop an understanding of the Insurance and Health law framework are encouraged to apply.
