What does the job look like?

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Transport Administrator to manage the day-to-day operation of the Transport Management System – Truck Mate. Ensuring all freight is planned, dispatched and completed.  To support the Transport Dispatch Team where necessary and cover tasks as required

 Key areas:

• Managing the transition between shifts, ensuring that there is continuity of Administration functions.
• Maintaining existing process documentation in Promapp
• Monitoring Transport Management System ensuring all trips are correctly planned, dispatched and completed for the relevant shift.
• Providing support for Dispatch staff and other tasks required by Despatcher.
• Ensuring all Trips are assigned to the relevant sub-contractor and update the delivery terminals.
• Undertake end of shift reports, which include freight overage, damages and returns.
• Ensure that all Dangerous Goods consignments are dispatched with the legal required supporting documentation.

• Strong computer literacy skills, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel and MFG Pro.
• Knowledge of Warehousing Systems and RF Systems
• Knowledge and competence in Inventory Control Function
• Decision making ability to evaluate value cost propositions.
• Results orientated.
• High standards of honesty, integrity and professionalism
