Mō te tūranga | About the role

Reporting to our Site Manager we are looking for an experienced Class 4 Vehicle Operator to join our tight-knit team based at our Tegel customer site in Henderson. The main responsibilities are to ensure a safe and timely delivery of our customers products.  There is manual handling involved and compliance training required. Your role involves adhering to schedules and maintaining high safety and operational standards.

Ngā haepapa matua | Key responsibilities

Driving & Delivery:

• Operate company vehicle to deliver fresh and frozen products as scheduled.
• Manage delivery documentation and ensure temperature control.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Ensure accurate inventory and secure cargo.
• Daily refueling and truck washing of company vehicle.

Health & Safety: 

• Follow safety protocols for driving and handling product.
• Report accidents, injuries, or vehicle issues immediately.
• Participate in safety policy development and hazard identification.

Teamwork:

• Collaborate with drivers, dispatchers and support staff.
• Assist with training new drivers and attend team meetings.

Ngā pūkenga matua | Key Skills

• Clean, Full Class 4 licence.
• Previous industry experience (5+ years preferred).
• Effective time management and policy adherence.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Excellent comprehension, numerical proficiency, and problem-solving skills.
