At Linfox New Zealand, we’re building smarter, faster, and more connected operations – and we’re looking for an Insights Analyst who’s ready to help us get there.

This newly created role will sit within the Finance team and take ownership of our operational and financial reporting. You’ll be responsible for building scalable dashboards, automating manual reports, and delivering insights that drive decision-making across our national transport and warehouse network. Your work will support weekly and monthly performance reviews, customer profitability analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you’ll be doing:

• Extracting, cleaning, and managing data from multiple systems including TMS, EROAD, financial systems, and SharePoint
• Designing and maintaining backend data pipelines and frontend dashboards using Power BI, SQL, Excel, and Azure
• Developing tools to plan, track, and report on project and operational performance
• Providing timely, accurate KPI reporting with insight and commentary
• Working with stakeholders across Finance, Operations, and Commercial to define requirements and deliver meaningful solutions
• Identifying opportunities for automation using PowerApps, PowerAutomate, and SharePoint
• Bringing clarity and structure to inconsistent or messy datasets

What you’ll bring:

• A tertiary qualification in Data Analytics, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field
• At least 2 years’ experience in an analytics, BI, or reporting role
• Advanced skills in Power BI, SQL, Excel, and familiarity with Azure, OneLake, PowerApps, SharePoint, and PowerAutomate
• Experience working across both backend data architecture and frontend visualisation
• Confidence working with sub-optimal systems and data to create clear, scalable outputs
• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence through insight
