He angitūtanga | The opportunity

At Linfox, we believe together, anything is possible. As the Regional Manager – Lower North Island, you will lead a critical part of our Aotearoa transport network, with end-to-end accountability for operational, financial and customer performance across a multi-site region. You will drive safe, reliable and efficient outcomes for our customers, while optimising operations, strengthening contractor and customer relationships, and delivering strong commercial results. Working closely with the National Transport Manager and senior stakeholders, you will lead people, champion continuous improvement, and support sustainable growth across the region and wider business.

Ngā kawenga | Key responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end transport operations across road and rail networks in the Lower North Island, ensuring safe, efficient delivery outcomes
  • Champion safety leadership, ensuring compliance with Linfox Safety Standards, legislative requirements, and customer expectations
  • Drive profitable growth through cost control, asset utilisation, and operational innovation
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, acting as a senior point for escalation and engagement
  • Lead, coach, and develop leaders and teams, embedding performance, capability and our LIFT values
  • Oversee financial performance, reporting, contractor management, and capital expenditure approvals

Ō pūkenga | What You’ll Need to Succeed

You are a strategic and operational transport leader who brings a strong safety mindset, commercial acumen and the ability to lead teams through complexity, while building enduring customer partnerships.

You will also bring:

  • Proven leadership experience managing transport or logistics operations across multiple sites or regions
  • Strong capability in financial performance, cost management and operational efficiency
  • Strong knowledge of NZ transport regulations, HACCP, MPI and food safety standards
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
  • A people-first leadership style with experience developing leaders and engaging operational teams
  • Proven business development and account management capabilities
