PM Dispatch Supervisor – Full Time

What does the job look like?

This role is responsible for leading PM despatch and vehicle control functions within a high-volume retail transport operation, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient delivery execution.

You will oversee evening operations, managing drivers, fleet utilisation and delivery completion while preparing the network for the following day.

This position operates on a 24/7 rotating roster, working a 4 days on / 4 days off schedule, with PM shifts from 4:00 PM to 4:00 AM, including weekends and public holidays.

Key areas:

• Lead safe and compliant despatch operations in line with WHS, transport legislation and company procedures
• Manage daily despatch planning, including linehaul and metro schedules, runsheets and TMS updates
• Optimise fleet and driver utilisation while ensuring delivery windows and legal hours are met
• Coordinate driver allocation across permanent and subcontractor resources to meet operational demand
• Lead, coach and develop despatch staff and drivers including onboarding, training and performance management
• Maintain relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to support service delivery and continuous improvement

Are you the one?
You are an experienced transport operations professional with strong leadership capability and a track record of managing drivers, fleet and despatch functions in high-volume environments.

You can demonstrate:

• Experience in transport scheduling, despatch and fleet utilisation within a logistics or retail environment
• Proven ability to lead and manage operational teams including drivers and despatch staff
• Working knowledge of Transport Management Systems, runsheets and mobility/sign-on-glass solutions
• Understanding of transport legislation, logbook/legal hours and safety requirements
• Experience managing customer delivery performance and meeting service KPIs within delivery windows
• Availability to work a rotating roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays (4 on / 4 off)
