What does the job look like?

The National Pallet Manager leads the end-to-end pallet management function across Linfox New Zealand’s warehousing and transport operations, ensuring accurate pallet control, financial integrity and risk management. This role offers national visibility and the opportunity to influence operational, commercial and financial performance through strong reporting, stakeholder engagement and process improvement.

 

Hours of work: Monday to Friday, between 07:00 – 19:00

Key areas:

  • Lead national pallet account management across warehousing and transport operations, ensuring accurate records, transfers and stocktake coordination.
  • Reconcile pallet invoices and minimise cost exposure by identifying risks relating to lost pallets, delayed transfers and financial variances.
  • Deliver reporting and insights including weekly invoice summaries and monthly reporting for senior leadership.
  • Prepare and distribute regular pallet balance reports to customers, operational leaders and other relevant stakeholders, ensuring transparency, accuracy and proactive management of pallet movements and variances
  • Resolve pallet disputes and negotiate with third parties while maintaining strong customer and stakeholder relationships.
  • Improve pallet control processes by identifying trends, preventing recurring variances and strengthening operational discipline.
  • Lead and support the pallet control team to deliver accurate, consistent and timely outcomes.

You are a commercially minded pallet management specialist who combines strong financial and systems capability with operational understanding. You are confident working with senior stakeholders, can identify risks early, and translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.

 

You can demonstrate:

  • Minimum 3 years’ pallet management experience within a transport, warehousing, logistics or supply chain environment.
  • Strong understanding of pallet account management, transfer processing, stocktakes, invoice reconciliation and dispute resolution.
  • Advanced Excel and strong system capability with the ability to analyse data and deliver clear reporting to senior leaders.
  • Commercial and financial understanding, including identifying cost exposure and presenting insights to stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to investigate issues, resolve disputes and work effectively with customers, internal teams and third parties.
  • Transport and warehousing operational knowledge with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement.
