He angitūtanga | The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists for a Quality Officer (Fixed term for 12 months) to support the ongoing effectiveness of Quality Management Systems (QMS) across Linfox New Zealand operations. Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, customer standards, food safety frameworks, and organisational policies while maintaining audit readiness and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key areas:

  • Support the implementation and maintenance of Quality Management Systems and Food Safety Management Systems to meet regulatory, customer, and organisational requirements.
  • Managing quality documentation, records management, document control, and training administration activities.
  • Conduct internal audits, compile audit documentation, and track corrective and preventive actions to closure.
  • Investigate quality events including non-conformances, complaints, and deviations, while supporting root cause analysis and CAPA management.
  • Lead site change control processes, maintain compliance records, and support recall and traceability activities.
  • Compile quality reports, monitor risk mitigation activities, and support continuous improvement initiatives across operations.

Ngā pūkenga | What You Will Bring

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented quality professional with experience in regulated industries who can confidently navigate various quality activities and enjoy working in a fast-paced operational environment.  You will be comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels of the business and have a passion for quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.

  • Experience working within highly regulated industries such as pharmaceutical, healthcare, or food.
  • Experience performing non-conformance investigations and CAPA management.
  • Knowledge of quality management principles and regulatory framework such as the NZ Food Act 2014, PIC/S GMP, and the NZ Medicines Act 1981.
  • Experience conducting internal audits and supporting regulatory, customer, or certification audit.
  • Strong document control, record management, training, and administrative skills.
  • Strong communication, organisation, and stakeholder skills.
  • A Bachelor of Science or equivalent qualification, with HACCP knowledge or training preferred.
