Transport Operations Manager

We are looking for an exceptional professional experienced Transport Operations Manager who has vast experience in planning daily Transport Business activities for our Distribution Centre and throughout the North Island in order to achieve the highest level of Safety, Compliance, Customer Service and Revenue/EBIT. You will play a critical role in our success with Leading a team of Operational Staff, Drivers and Sub-Contractors to ensure smooth operations in a fast paced and dynamic environment.,

What you will do

• Develop and implement Strategies that maximize a profitable Operation, minimizing costs and ensuring we provide our Customers with a world class Service.
• KPI (Key Performance Indicators) Reporting: ensuring that an adequate and responsive level of reporting is available to enable the effective monitoring and control of Transport and Logistics activities.
• Work closely with your team and the Warehouse teams on identifying Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives and work constructively with the teams to develop and implement synergies with current and future Operations.
• Executing the Transport plans with the Operations team – and where delays are experienced develop / communicate the revised plans and any Service impacts to the key stakeholders.

• Responsible for meeting all Customer Service requirements, as per the Linfox and Customer Contracts
• Provide high standards of integrity in Service offerings, administration and communication to our Customers.
• Stay current with NZ road Transport Laws and Legislation.

What you will need.

• Strong history of Transport scheduling/coordination – minimum 5-years’ experience in a similar role.
• TMS experience, including sign-on glass.
• SAP Warehousing experience (desirable).
• Sound knowledge around basic financial planning and reporting practices.
• Ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels.
