About Your Role

Scope has an exciting and unique opportunity for a Philanthropy Officer to work within our Marketing Division.

Reporting to the Fundraising and Philanthropy Manager, this role is responsible for the development or warm and strong relationships with both donors and non-donors to increase philanthropic income.

Your Key Focus

You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of communications to people leaving gifts and their families, trusts and solicitors.

You will:

  • Actively manage relationships with key Scope donors
  • Manage administration of confirmed bequest donors
  • Liaise with solicitors to ensure timely administration of estates
  • Develop relationships to secure future gifts
  • Work wit legal/ local solicitors/ trustee companies to build Scope reputation

What We Look For

  • Strong experience in dealing with wills and trusts
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong collaborative partnerships
  • Comfortable working within an ambiguous environment that is experiencing rapid growth
  • Ability to build a growth mindset
  • Knowledge on family provision law, fundraising practices and grant management experience is highly desirable
