About the role?

The Senior Officer, School Administration provides a high level of administrative advice and services to a range of school stakeholders to enable the delivery of school outcomes with the required resources. Support school functions through a range of processing and administrative tasks in line with university procedures as well as ensuring efficient and effective administration. Provide administrative support for the Academic workload allocation system in collaboration with key academic staff and the Planning and Analysis team in Faculty Services.

As a Senior Administration Officer, you will:

  • Plan and oversee various administrative functions within the school, including but not limited to workload management.
  • Consult a diverse range of stakeholders to ensure efficient administrative support within the school.
  • Collaborate closely with members of the school, as well as staff in Faculty Services and central Divisions, to ensure seamless coordination of school functions and the effective implementation of initiatives.
  • Engage in process improvement activities, introduce innovative ideas to foster team collaboration, and achieve organisational goals by identifying areas for enhancement and leading the implementation across academic workload allocation, recruitment management, and administrative support processes within the school.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with a range of internal and external key stakeholders.

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • A Degree with subsequent relevant experience; or
  • Extensive experience and specialist knowledge or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields; or
  • An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Experience in administration and related activities in a large organisation with complex administrative structures, policies and procedures.
  • Experience in operating in a high-pressure diverse environment, involving face to face, phone and written issue.
  • Experience providing services and support in a large organisation.
