We are currently seeking a vibrant, and motivated Hospitality Assistant with a positive can-do attitude to join our team in a fixed-term position until 31 December 2024. The Assistant, Hospitality will provide assistance in the daily front of house operations of Waurn Ponds Estate, and other locations and venues as required. The Assistant, Hospitality will provide an excellent and consistent level of customer and hospitality service to all clients (visitors, guests, students and staff).

As an Assistant, Hospitality you will:

  • Provide customer and hospitality service to all guests at Waurn Ponds Estate and other locations and venues as required. Effectively work with the Senior Team Leader and Hospitality Supervisor to deliver front of house and food and beverage services, maintain service standards and processes, ensuring directed tasks are carried out in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Deliver effective and efficient outcomes and outputs against team and operational work plans.
  • Take personal responsibility and show initiative to meeting goals and objectives contributing to an inclusive team environment.
  • Recognise the importance of teamwork and of effective communication amongst team members and build rapport within immediate team in ways that are respectful and inclusive of others.
  • Clarify expectations and respond promptly to client requests, queries, or complaints to ensure client needs are met to agreed standards and timelines.
  • Improve convenience and accessibility by providing a range of service options.
  • Build productive relationships with a diverse range of existing stakeholders and actively seek to maintain positive relationships.
  • Present information in a clear, structured, concise and tailored way by focusing on key messages and check that messages are understood and meet audience needs.

                                                                                                                                                                                      

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • Completion of a Diploma level qualifications with relevant work experience or a certificate level qualification with post- certificate relevant work experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
  • Hospitality experience
  • Barista experience
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification

 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Work outside business hours is required. This position is designated a flexible ordinary hours span position due to business needs.
  • Working with Children Check
