About the role

The Equity Partnerships Support Officer provides high-level administrative and program support to the Deakin Engagement and Access Program (DEAP) team and the Manager, Student Equity. This role ensures the effective implementation of administrative processes and systems for DEAP activities, including supporting Deakin’s delivery of In2science. Additionally, the role coordinates all communications for the DEAP team and contributes to developing and implementing the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Communications and Engagement plan and related activities.

As an Equity Partnership Support Officer, you will:

  • Provide flexible and proactive administrative support for DEAP activities
  • Prioritise work and critical activities, recognise barries to achieving outcomes and challenge the team to anticipate future needs
  • Prepare and review documents, reports, and presentations, drive communications and projects and administer digital platforms
  • Collaborate closely with other team members and build strong relationships with partners, alumni and other organisations both within and outside the University community
  • Support DEAP success through process improvement and innovation

 To be successful, you’ll have:

  • A Degree with subsequent relevant experience; or
  • Extensive experience and specialist knowledge or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields
  • An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Experience in administration and related activities in a large organisation with complex administrative structures, policies and procedures.
  • Experience in in project support/management and analysing data and information and developing, enhancing and implementing administrative processes and procedures
