As an Open Education Lead, you will:

• Work collaboratively with other teaching teams to develop effective open education practices and pedagogies learning.
• Build communities that adopt open practices and lead promotion of open education program. Develop networks and collaborate with university colleagues to determine an approach to extending those networks into more formal alliances.  
• Lead the development and/or adoption of new innovation in curriculum design within a course and deliver learner-centric, research-informed teaching practices across different levels / modes of delivery.
• Integrate industry, clinical and/or research practice into design to improve student learning experiences, success, engagement and resources.
• Design collaborative learning opportunities at the course level. Support diverse learners by designing accessible and inclusive unit and course material and practices.
• Foster a culture of collaboration and educational excellence. Build teaching and learning capability and effective unit and course teaching teams related to discipline or pedagogy and support the professional development of other academics. Conduct mentoring of colleagues to help improve their teaching practices.

To be successful, you’ll have:

• PhD in a relevant discipline and/or advanced qualifications and experience in the relevant discipline area
• Excellent record of scholarly learning and teaching in UG and/or PG programs, including innovative curriculum design and research supervision
• Nationally recognised research reputation underpinned by publications in quality journals, and exhibitions where relevant to the discipline, or
• Emerging reputation in the open education field, demonstrated through publications and/or funding.
• Positive engagement with research, community, industry and government to enhance the national standing of the discipline.
