The Senior Officer, Student Success (Outcomes) is responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of work that supports student success and academic progress . Working within established frameworks and underpinned by a student-as-partners approach, this role ensures that students seeking or requiring support to succeed academically, receive timely and appropriate interventions.

As a Senior Officer, Student Success (Outcomes), you will:

  • Manage and implement student outcomes initiatives including supporting delivery of programs and executing routine processes that support student outcomes and progress, identifying students at risk and supporting the connection of students to outcomes initiatives and programs.
  • Work closely with academic staff and student partners/mentors to deliver practical solutions that help students overcome barriers to success.
  • Ensure efficient handling of academic progress and support for students, adhering to university policies and operational standards while keeping processes clear and accessible.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with relevant University areas, providing timely information and updates on interventions and initiatives to enhance student outcomes.
  • Offer consistent and ethical guidance to stakeholders regarding student outcomes issues, focusing on practical solutions within the scope of operational responsibilities.                                                                                                                               

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • A Degree with subsequent relevant experience; or
  • Extensive experience and specialist knowledge or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields; or
  • An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Experience in higher education student administration.
  • Knowledge of working in complex policy and program environments such as academic integrity, complaints, appeals, special consideration or conduct and success fairness within a higher education environment.
