As a Senior Lecturer, you will:
- Lead unit and course teaching teams and work collaboratively with other teaching teams in the faculty to develop effective unit/courses curricula and learning materials (including through course leadership roles). Lead review of units and courses and implement refinements.
- Integrate industry, clinical and/or research practice into unit/course design to improve student learning experiences, success, engagement and resources.
- Lead the development and/or adoption of new innovation in curriculum design within a course and deliver learner-centric, research-informed teaching practices across different levels / modes of delivery.
- Make significant contribution to seeking funding for research and creative activities, including applications for external competitive funding, external funding for commercialization and translation activities and other funding demonstrating sustained efforts.
- Demonstrate sustained national and building international reputation, as emerging world leader, based on significant and growing focused body of work, recognised quality, excellence and impact with a sustained and growing track record of timely delivery of outcomes for industry partners.
- Lead the implementation of citizenship activities and effectiveness as influence/champion at local/ university level. Represent the university at academic, professional and civic forums.
To be successful, you’ll have:
- PhD in a relevant discipline and/or advanced qualifications and experience in the relevant discipline area
- Excellent record of scholarly learning and teaching in postgraduate and/or clinical programs, including innovative curriculum design, using different ways of engaging with students (lectures, seminars, workshops, intensives) and different methods of delivery (face-to-face and online) and research supervision
- Experience supervising fourth-year research thesis projects
- Nationally recognised research reputation underpinned by publications in quality journals, and exhibitions where relevant to the discipline.
- Positive engagement with research, community, industry and government to enhance the national standing of the discipline.
Special Requirements
- This position may require the incumbent to travel domestically and/or internationally to attend conferences, events and to represent the university.
- This position requires the incumbent to hold a current Working with children Check
