As a Lecturer in Rural Health, you will be responsible for:
- Teaching and learning in the area of Agricultural Health and Medicine, mainly postgraduate level, that is consistent with University’s principles of teaching, learning and the student experience.
- Coordinate the delivery of the Graduate Certificate in Agricultural Health and Medicine (GCAHM) core units.
- Developing learning environments that are flexible, student-centred and accessible, utilising appropriate technology.
- Participating with colleagues in developing and maintaining links and partnerships with agricultural and health industry, professional bodies and the wider community
- Contributing to the identification of areas relevant for further teaching and research through analysis of data collected through NCFH programs.
- Initiating, conducting and may lead intra and inter-disciplinary research collaborations, to enable major breakthroughs in knowledge and understanding and solutions to health, wellbeing and safety challenges.
- Transferring evidence and knowledge from NCFH research projects into the Agricultural Health and Medicine curriculum.
- Supervising HDR, Honours and undergraduate students, ensuring successful completions and the quality of results.
To be successful, you’ll have:
- PhD or equivalent qualification in a relevant field of health, medicine, nursing, science, epidemiology, agriculture or Occupational Health and Safety.
- Experience teaching and supervision in health, medicine, nursing, science, epidemiology or Occupation Health and Safety at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Excellent record of scholarly learning and teaching in UG and/or PG programs, including innovative curriculum design
- Emerging reputation in research and scholarship through publications and/or success in obtaining external research funding.
- Ability to contribute to communities through research.
