As a Data Analyst, you will:
- Deliver high-quality research performance analytics by conducting in-depth analyses of complex datasets to uncover key trends, generate actionable insights, and support evidence-based decision-making
- Engage with stakeholders to gather and interpret requirements, anticipate emerging needs, and identify opportunities to improve analytics capabilities and deliver tailored data solutions.
- Design and deliver high-quality reports, dashboards, and visualisations that clearly communicate performance metrics and support benchmarking, strategic planning, and research evaluation.
- Implement and maintain rigorous data governance practices to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data sources, reporting processes, and analytics outputs.
- Champion continuous improvement by identifying innovative tools and methodologies to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and impact of data analytics and reporting functions.
To be successful, you’ll have:
- Tertiary qualification with relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and technical or administrative expertise.
- Proven experience as a business or data analyst using advanced tools such as Tableau, SQL, Excel, TM1, EndPoint IQ, and ResearchMaster.
- Demonstrated ability to source, cleanse, analyse, and manipulate complex data sets to support decision-making.
- Skilled in gathering, documenting, and managing stakeholder requirements to inform data-driven solutions.
- Experience working in research institutions, higher education, or large, complex organisations, with a strong ability to solve business and technical challenges.
