As a Campus Life Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

  • Event & Campaign Management: Design, develop, and facilitate inclusive activities, events, and campaigns annually, ensuring engagement with the broader university and external community.
  • Volunteer Leadership Program: Recruit, train, and develop a residential volunteer leadership program to empower and support student leaders.
  • Commitment to Values: Demonstrate high levels of learning, energy, commitment, and integrity while making decisions aligned with DRS and University values.
  • Empowerment & Support: Ensure team members have role clarity, authority, and the support needed to carry out their responsibilities effectively.

In a typical day, you will:

  • Analise and Simplify Information: Distil complex issues into clear, concise terms and present logical arguments to address core problems.
  • Drive Innovation: Use diverse resources and innovative principles to analyze and improve current processes and practices.
  • Foster Continuous Learning: Demonstrate high energy, commitment, and openness to feedback, using it to improve your own learning and performance.
  • Lead Change: Identify when change is necessary, communicate its reasons, and implement it through appropriate channels while overcoming obstacles.
  • Empower and Support the Team: Provide constructive feedback, ensure clarity of roles, and implement strategies to promote emotional wellbeing and team performance.

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • A degree with relevant experience, extensive technical or administrative expertise, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., in education, events, or working with young adults).
  • Ability to connect with and guide young adults from diverse backgrounds, particularly in challenging situations, with a focus on enhancing their wellbeing.
  • Proven experience in service delivery and developing programs with defined outcomes, ideally in a student accommodation or higher education setting.
  • Familiarity with University policies and procedures, along with strong computer literacy for preparing documentation and reports.
  • Extensive experience in high-level administration, reporting, and maintaining compliance, with a demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
