About the role:
The Senior Coordinator, Access and Inclusion (regional) is a key role in ensuring equitable access to education and campus resources for students with disabilities and diverse needs. This position is responsible for managing the Disability Resource Centre across the regional campuses and other associated service to deliver the highest quality support to students and the University community.
The Senior Coordinator will have an understanding or mental and disability health and will manage and support team members working directly with students.
As a Senior Coordinator, Access and Inclusion (regional), you will:
- Plan, deliver and evaluate Disability Resource Centre services to the university in accordance with the Commonwealth Disability Education Standards and relevant University policies to ensure best-practice accessibility and inclusion.
- Foster a collaborative team culture, providing tailored coaching and professional development to empower individuals
- Critically assess challenges and apply advanced problem-solving techniques to develop accessible and inclusive solutions, translating complex issues into clear and actionable goals

- Provide leadership and mentorship, offering constructive, balanced feedback to facilitate team growth, align with Deakin’s code of conduct, and cultivate a safe, sustainable, and high-performing work environment.
To be successful, you’ll have:
- Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or
- Extensive experience and management expertise; or
- An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
- Knowledge and experience of working in disability, access and inclusion.
- Experience in working collaboratively with clients, stakeholders, and partners to achieve appropriate outcomes
