POSITION DESCRIPTION:
As Project Officer, you will be primarily responsible for managing all administrative aspects of the new Australian Research Council funded Discovery Project: Youth Futures after Mobility (YFAM). The project is a multi-method longitudinal wave-based study (2020-2030) of transnationally mobile youth and their transitions to adulthood, led by Professor Anita Harris (Deakin University) and Professor Loretta Baldassar (Edith Cowan University). YFAM will investigate what helps and hinders the social and economic integration of young people after living abroad. It builds on and extends the Youth Mobilities, Aspirations & Pathways Project (YMAP) project https://www.ymapproject.org/, which investigated how mobility shapes young people’s economic, social and civic aspirations, opportunities and outcomes, collecting data in two waves. YMAP’s participants included 800 survey respondents and 45 interviewees. YFAM tracks the same cohort of participants over another two waves (subject to retention and with a possible supplemental sample) and now considers challenges and opportunities for transnationally mobile youth as they age, face decisions about remaining or returning, and seek to settle.
You will be responsible for managing all administrative aspects of this large research project. Previous experience in managing or supporting research projects is desirable.

- Manage project administrative and financial processes, reporting, finance reconciliation and expenditure including account balances and liaise with Faculty and central finance and research teams on behalf of the project.
- Undertake any other appropriate administrative tasks and support for research activities as required.
