About the role:
The Senior Officer, Student Orientation and Engagement is responsible for supporting the coordination, development, delivery, ongoing review and evaluation of programs of work relating to the University’s orientation and student experience objectives.

As a Senior Officer, Student Orientation and Engagement, you will:

  • Coordinate and oversee orientation activities in collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure a unified and effective experience.
  • Seek feedback from key stakeholders to improve orientation and student engagement experiences, addressing challenges to implement effective changes.
  • Assist with managing the group inboxes, ensuring timely, professional and accurate responses using best practice customer service principles.
  • Effectively plan, prioritise, and problem-solve to overcome barriers and achieve outcomes.
  • Develop strong, collaborative relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate confidently and use effective techniques to influence and build understanding.

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • A Degree with subsequent relevant experience; or
  • Extensive experience and specialist knowledge or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields; or
  • An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
  • Relevant experience in program, project and event experience, including coordination, scheduling, implementation, delivery, evaluation and on the ground support in a large, complex organisation governed by policies and procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to quickly learn and navigate digital platforms.
  • Proven high-level administrative skills, preferably in the education sector
